Yesterday was Friday the 13th, so I was quite glad to get home without any major mishaps from a 95 mile ride around Cornwall and Devon.
At about mile 30 my Cannondale Synapse started making an annoying clicking noise at the same place on each peddle stroke so I assumed it was an issue with the bottom bracket.
I went to check the bottom bracket when I got home and noticed this straight away!
A big crack in the left crank arm. How this didn’t break (especially on Friday 13th) out on the ride while going up a hill is beyond me.
A few searches on Google and this seems to be a regular issue 🙁
Also – everywhere seems to be out of stock of 172.5 left crank arm for Cannondale Synapse.
I’ve got 3 weeks until the start of Ride Across Britain (Lands End to John O’Groats). Arghh!
